The Google Chrome OS Event

Today (19 Nov. 2009) Google Chrome OS opened its doors to everyone. I have watched the live feed from their broadcast and made a collection of videos and informations regarding Google’s new OS. It seems that Google wants a piece of everything. Although the new OS looks ok and outperforms anything i’ve see so far in terms of speed, i highly doubt that it will have the impact Google wants it to have. How would Pulp fiction look with Google Wave?

In case you ever wondered (if not, you should!) how would Samuel L. Jackson play his role in Pulp Fiction if he had Google Wave invented back then watch the following videos. Although funny, Google Wave still hasn’t prove its usefullness among the comunity. It might be fun to transpose a movie into google wave, but it sure is not usefull to chat alone or email your friends and then suddently, see your emails are changed and you cannot do anything about it… Google! Give us admins!

Was YouTube purchased by Google only so that nobody else would get’em?

We all love it! We all use it! We where glad Google did it! But… What do you think? Was Youtube aquired by Google only so that nobody else would get’em? Informations show this might be true.. An interesting move or obvious ? Is loosing money ok for a giant like Google only to have a presence on the market with a product that is so popular and yet still not able to monetize itself?
